A Materials Transfer Agreement or MTA is a contract that governs the transfer of tangible and original research materials between the parties, including any Know-How associated with such materials, as well as any progeny or unmodified derivatives of that material.
MTA defines the ownership, use, distribution and management of the material so as to protect the rights of the provider and the recipient as well.
